Mechanical Team Supervisor – Load Cell R&D

About the role

The Mechanical Team Supervisor will lead a load‑cell R&D team, driving digitalisation, new product development and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for building technical expertise, managing talent and delivering reliable, high‑quality products that meet market demands.

Key responsibilities

• Build and coach a team of 5+ engineers, set objectives, evaluate performance and ensure alignment with company policies.
• Lead agile development of new load‑cell products, overseeing mechanical design, feasibility studies, verification, validation and time‑to‑market.
• Research emerging technologies, prepare feasibility reports, generate innovative concepts and pursue patent protection.
• Maintain and support the lifecycle of existing products, improving quality and documenting technical outcomes.
• Collaborate across R&D, Operations, SCM, Quality, Finance and HR to support strategic initiatives and enhance China growth and global impact.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design and new product development experience for load cells, sensors or comparable precision instruments.
• At least 3 years of team or project management experience, leading teams of five or more.
• Strong knowledge of the full product lifecycle, from concept to industrialisation and sustaining engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor technology trends and develop roadmaps.
