Manager V, Customer Engineer – Semi – Shanghai/Zhejiang/Jiangsu

About the role

The Manager V, Customer Engineer – Semi is responsible for leading customer engineering activities across Shanghai, Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces. This role ensures successful start‑ups, warranty management and service agreements while driving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast financial, manpower and operational requirements for start‑up, warranty and service agreement businesses.
• Identify and pursue new service agreement opportunities together with marketing and sales teams.
• Manage start‑up projects, controlling time and cost while overseeing local inventories and RMA procedures.
• Maintain Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) targets and manage system start‑up and warranty costs within reserve.
• Interview, hire and train customer engineers to support regional business needs.
• Escalate system downtimes according to established procedures to ensure rapid return to service.

Required profile

• Comprehensive understanding of concepts within the customer engineering job family and related disciplines.
• Proven ability to manage multiple teams, set priorities and allocate resources effectively.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to resolve complex technical, operational and organizational issues.
• Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
