LPS Sample Handling Assistant

About the role

Labcorp is looking for a motivated LPS Sample Handling Assistant to join its Shanghai laboratory team. You will be responsible for receiving, processing, and tracking laboratory specimens while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and unpack shipments from couriers, resolve misrouted deliveries, and maintain specimen temperature.
• Scan shipments into the database, archive requisitions electronically, and perform first‑pass data entry of patient demographics.
• Prepare hard‑copy requisitions for archiving and verify administrative data via the RES system.
• Execute aliquoting tasks, clean and maintain instruments, and sort specimens according to local rules.
• Conduct kit receipt processes, generate audit trails, and support on‑call or after‑hours duties as needed.
• Follow SOPs, safety guidelines, and biohazard precautions while keeping the work area orderly.

Required profile

• Diploma in Science, Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• At least 3 months of experience with hygiene, safety, GCP or ISO 15189 regulated environments.
• Strong collaboration skills with operations, logistics and quality teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with RES (Laboratory Information System).
• Experience using a Document Management System for electronic archiving.
• Database scanning and specimen tracking.
• Aliquoting and specimen sorting techniques.
