LPS Sample Handling Assistant I

About the role

Labcorp is looking for an LPS Sample Handling Assistant I to join its Shanghai laboratory. The role focuses on receiving, processing, and tracking clinical specimens while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and open inbound shipments from multiple couriers, resolve misrouted shipments, and maintain specimen temperature.
• Scan shipments into the database, archive requisitions electronically, and perform first‑accession data entry for patient demographics.
• Conduct quality control of discarded material, sort specimens according to local rules, and acknowledge them in the system using the pre‑scan function.
• Perform kit receipt processes, manage aliquoting tasks, clean and maintain instruments, and generate audit trails for all activities.
• Participate in on‑call and after‑hours duties, follow SOPs, and uphold biohazard safety guidelines.
• Mentor new employees, suggest process improvements, and keep the work area organized and documented.

Required profile

• Diploma in Science, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
• At least 3 months experience with hygiene, safety, and regulatory requirements (GCP, ISO 15189 preferred).
• Strong collaboration with operations, logistics, and quality teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment, and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to receive training and feedback.
