Lecturer in Visual Communication Design (China)

About the role

We are seeking a Lecturer in Visual Communication Design to teach advanced conceptual and technical skills in digital branding, editorial design, illustration, UI/UX, motion graphics, AI integration and immersive media. The role combines traditional design principles with emerging technologies in a cross‑cultural academic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate courses covering typography, visual language, digital branding, editorial design, illustration, UI/UX and motion graphics.
• Integrate AI tools, virtual reality and other immersive technologies into the curriculum and student projects.
• Mentor students, support research activities and foster critical thinking and innovation.

Required profile

• Essential: Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or related field.
• Desirable: Teaching experience in UK higher education or equivalent professional/ international experience.
• Fluency in English and ability to meet Chinese visa requirements; PGCert in Higher Education or HEA Fellowship preferred.
