About the role

We are seeking a dynamic educator to join the Joint Institute in Hangzhou, delivering the Bachelor of Design (Interface Design) programme in partnership with the University of Waikato. The successful candidate will teach core computer‑science subjects to design students, ensuring high‑quality instruction in English.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lectures and tutorials for computer‑science modules.
• Supervise student projects and provide academic guidance.
• Design, administer and mark assessments.
• Collaborate with a small team of 16 staff to maintain programme standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science (PhD preferred).
• Minimum two years of full‑time teaching experience.
• Ability to teach in English to students for whom it is not a first language.
• Experience or interest in teaching in an international or Asian context.

Required skills

• Programming (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Software architecture concepts.
• User experience (UX) design.
• Full‑stack web development (frontend and backend).
• Interface design for web and mobile platforms.
