IT Technical Analyst - Salesforce Development

About the role

The IT Technical Analyst - Salesforce Development designs, develops, enhances and supports Salesforce solutions for the China business. The role works closely with business stakeholders, Salesforce architects, administrators, integration teams and regional/global IT teams to deliver scalable, secure and high-quality solutions covering sales, service, pricing, reporting and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain Salesforce solutions based on business requirements and technical standards.
• Develop customizations using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Aura Components, Flows, validation rules and approval processes.
• Analyse business requirements, provide technical solution options, impact assessments and development estimates.
• Work with architects and administrators so that designs follow platform best practices, security standards and governance.
• Support integration with upstream and downstream systems such as SAP, data platforms and middleware.
• Support unit testing, SIT, UAT, deployment preparation, release management and post-go-live support.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes and provide solutions or workarounds.
• Prepare technical documentation, deployment notes, knowledge transfer materials and support guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related major.
• Minimum 5 years of Salesforce development experience, including enterprise-level implementation or enhancement projects.
• Good communication skills in English and Chinese; ability to work with business users and IT teams across regions.
• Strong ownership, problem-solving ability, attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies.

Required skills

• Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, Salesforce data model, security model and governor limits.
• Salesforce integration patterns, REST/SOAP APIs, middleware platforms, batch jobs and data synchronization.
• Release management, deployment tools, sandbox management, change sets, metadata deployment or DevOps practices preferred.
• Experience with SAP, pricing systems or reporting platforms is a plus; Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Administrator, Platform App Builder) preferred.
