International General Practitioner / Family Medicine

About the role

We are seeking an internationally trained General Practitioner / Family Medicine physician to join a premium international healthcare provider in Shanghai or Beijing. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive primary care to expatriate and high‑end local patients, adhering to international standards and a patient‑centred approach.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent primary care consultations for common medical conditions, minor injuries, mild acute presentations, infections, allergies and other general practice needs.
• Deliver preventive health assessments, chronic disease management, follow‑up care and ongoing family physician services.
• Coordinate specialist referrals and multidisciplinary care, ensuring continuity and quality.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support day‑to‑day clinical governance.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognized overseas medical school with completed postgraduate training in General Practice / Family Medicine.
• Valid medical registration in the country of origin or current practice and willingness to complete registration procedures for foreign physicians in China.
• Internationally recognised qualification such as MRCGP, ABFM, FRACGP or equivalent (highly desirable).
• Strong primary‑care experience, excellent English communication skills and confidence consulting an international patient population.
• Experience in healthcare systems of North America, Europe, Australia, Singapore, Japan or South Korea is highly regarded.
• Experience serving expatriates, international school communities, corporate executives or internationally insured patients is a plus.
