Infrastructure Engineer – Server Management & Cloud Operations

About the role

We are expanding our team to support a growing business that delivers 24/7 global server management and infrastructure operations in public cloud environments. The role focuses on high‑availability server operations, cloud migrations, and continuous improvement of our standardized cloud processes.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain high‑availability services using Pacemaker, including online OS patching, offline upgrades, and storage migrations.
• Manage cloud resources on Microsoft Azure, AWS, and VMware – VM resizing, redeployment, health monitoring, and network configuration.
• Handle incident management, especially Priority‑1 incidents, and ensure zero‑tolerance for human‑error‑induced outages.
• Document procedures, produce run‑books, and drive continuous improvement of operational processes.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with server management, public‑cloud or infrastructure operations.
• Strong ability to learn new technologies quickly, particularly Pacemaker and related HA tools.
• Experience managing major incidents (P1) and familiarity with the ITIL framework.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken) and meticulous attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexibly from Changzhou, Shanghai or a home office.

Required skills

• Operating systems: SLES 15 (primary), Windows Server (minimal).
• Cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware.
• Linux fundamentals and advanced tools: Pacemaker, LDAP, LVM, SSH/SFTP, Apache2, tmux, Keepalived, IPsec VPN (Strongswan), SQUID, iptables (NAT), BGP (Quagga).
• Azure operations: storage migration (ANF to AFS/Block), VM redeploy, resource health, NSG, Network Watcher, waagent, NVMe.
