Head of Logistics Operations – China

About the role

This senior position holds full responsibility for warehouse operations in China, overseeing an existing 3,500 sqm facility in Beijing and a new 17,000 sqm state‑of‑the‑art site under construction in Guangzhou. During the first two years the focus is on project‑management of the expansion and relocation, followed by operational leadership of a 100‑150‑person team on a 16/7/365 shift model.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all disciplinary and functional activities for managers, professionals and experts across warehousing and shipping, ensuring on‑time, on‑quality performance and cost efficiency.
• Drive negotiations and influence internal and external stakeholders, including contracted service providers, to meet strategic targets.
• Oversee risk assessment, safety management and compliance with HS&E policies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Implement continuous improvement using lean methodologies and ensure audit compliance with aviation regulations.
• Collaborate with global logistics functions to develop the worldwide footprint and technical infrastructure.

Required skills

• Extensive experience (5‑8 years) in warehouse operations, planning or strategy leadership.
• Deep knowledge of materials and inventory management, warehouse processes, automation and transport operations.
• Proficiency with SAP EWM/TMS.
• Project‑management expertise, preferably with PMI, Prince2 or IPMA certification.
• Fluency in written and spoken Chinese and English.
