Head of Finance – Greater China

About the role

Kennametal is seeking a senior finance leader to head the finance function for its Greater China operations, covering mainland China, Hong Kong and other territories. The role reports to the global finance team and partners directly with business leaders to drive financial performance and strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee finance and reporting for seven legal entities in Greater China, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
• Lead the quarterly and annual planning process, including FP&A, budgeting, and 5‑year strategic planning.
• Develop and maintain automated reporting solutions using CRM, Tableau and Power BI to monitor performance.
• Support sales operations through contract management, pipeline analysis and design of incentive plans.
• Manage cash flow, working capital efficiency and treasury activities.
• Collaborate with the China Finance Shared Services Center to clarify roles, provide training and optimize processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of finance or audit experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
• Experience with Big 4 firms is a plus.
