Head Chef – International Hire (Relocation to Shanghai)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our flagship restaurant on Huashan Road in Shanghai. This role is open to international candidates and includes full visa sponsorship and relocation support. The Head Chef will set the culinary direction and drive the brand’s growth as it expands.

Key responsibilities

• Culinary Leadership – Oversee kitchen operations, menu development, and maintain food quality standards.
• Team Management – Lead, train, and mentor the kitchen team to ensure consistent execution.
• Menu Innovation – Create creative dishes that align with the restaurant’s concept and customer expectations.
• Quality & Safety – Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and operational standards.
• Cross‑functional Collaboration – Work closely with operations and management teams to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
• Cost Control – Manage inventory, supplier relationships, and kitchen cost efficiency.

Required profile

• International culinary background with professional experience gained outside of China.
• Strong expertise in European cuisine (e.g., French, British); Middle Eastern cuisine experience is a plus.
• 5–10+ years of professional kitchen experience, preferably in premium or flagship restaurants.
• Proven ability to lead a kitchen team and manage high‑volume operations.
• Creative, disciplined, and passionate about culinary excellence.
• Willingness to relocate to Shanghai for a full‑time role.
• Eligibility for a Chinese work visa (company will sponsor).
