HarmonyOS Mobile Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a passionate HarmonyOS Mobile Engineer to design, build, and maintain the Marshall application experience within the Huawei ecosystem. The role is based in Shenzhen and works closely with product, design, and platform teams, including a partner team in Stockholm.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features for the Marshall HarmonyOS app using ArkTS and Huawei development frameworks.
• Implement clean, scalable, and maintainable architecture that translates product and design requirements into high‑quality solutions.
• Ensure app stability, performance, and responsiveness across all HarmonyOS devices.
• Collaborate with test automation engineers and QA to expand automated test coverage and perform root‑cause analysis for production issues.
• Work with iOS, Android, UI/UX designers, embedded and firmware teams to guarantee feature parity and seamless Bluetooth/device connectivity.
• Stay up‑to‑date with HarmonyOS platform changes, Huawei APIs, and contribute to shared mobile architecture patterns and best practices.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including modular architecture and asynchronous programming.
• Experience building and releasing mobile apps on HarmonyOS, ArkTS, or using Huawei HMS Core.
• Proficiency with modern development tools such as GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, code quality tools, and automated testing frameworks.
• Ability to work effectively in English with distributed teams and Mandarin for local collaboration.
