Group Finance Director

About the role

The Group Finance Director will own the end‑to‑end integrity of the Group’s financial control environment, overseeing everything from transactional cycles to a clean, on‑time consolidation and audit. Leading a China‑based team, you will ensure accurate books for 50+ global entities and compliance with local statutory obligations across Europe, LATAM and other jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, half‑year and year‑end consolidation of 50+ entities under IFRS, including intercompany eliminations and minority interests.
• Own the accuracy of the General Ledger and all sub‑ledger balances (AP, AR, Treasury, Fixed Assets, Stock) and sign off reconciliations.
• Manage product and factory standard costing, ensuring accurate inventory valuation and margin reporting.
• Direct group cash flow management, multi‑currency forecasting, cash concentration, banking relationships and operational FX.
• Ensure compliant local statutory accounts and filings across multiple jurisdictions and oversee the local‑GAAP‑to‑IFRS bridge.
• Serve as single point of accountability for statutory audit and run an internal audit programme across factories and entities.
• Partner with business teams on IFRS accounting treatment and journal specifications.
• Lead AI‑driven optimisation of finance processes, embedding reasonability checks and maintaining a robust control framework.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, technically strong controller with extensive experience managing large, multi‑entity finance teams.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting and audit processes across diverse jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement using AI and automation tools.
