Global Communications Manager - AI & Cloud

About the role

Tencent is looking for a Global Communications Manager to support its global and regional communications on artificial intelligence and related technologies. The role acts as a communications partner to business, product and technology teams, helping shape global and regional messaging and strengthening Tencent's thought leadership and reputation in AI and cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a key communications contact for business, product, engineering and research teams, and turn complex technical and business information into clear narratives for international audiences.
• Develop PR materials such as key messages, talking points, Q&As, briefing documents, executive presentations, media pitches and interview preparation materials.
• Identify topics and platforms where Tencent executives and technical experts can share their perspectives, and work with the Regional Communications team to adapt global narratives for different markets.
• Work with the global social media team on content for international channels, repurpose content across media and digital platforms, and support editorial calendars, campaign concepts and multimedia content.
• Experiment with new storytelling approaches and explore new channels such as podcasts and video platforms.

Required profile

• Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, with strong written and verbal communication in both.
• Relevant experience in corporate communications, technology communications, public relations, content strategy or a related field.
• Experience working with business leaders, product teams, engineers or technical experts.
• Preferred: previous experience at an AI, cloud, internet or enterprise technology company, existing relationships with international technology, business or trade media, and experience developing content for podcasts, video platforms or social media.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of international media and communications practices.
• Ability to explain complex technology and business topics to non-technical audiences.
• Project management and stakeholder management, with sound judgement across markets, cultures and regulatory environments.
• Preferred: familiarity with foundation models, generative AI, enterprise AI and cloud infrastructure.
