Full-stack .NET/React Developer (Consultant)

About the role

The United Nations Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT) is seeking a full‑stack .NET/React developer to join its Enterprise Solutions Service team in Deqing, China. The consultant will contribute to the design, development, and support of web applications that incorporate geospatial and AI components, helping drive the UN’s digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug and implement new web applications using .NET Core and React, following UN standards.
• Produce technical and user documentation, training materials, and deliver technical presentations.
• Provide 3rd‑level support, version management, and troubleshooting for deployed applications.
• Collaborate with users and developers to gather feedback and continuously improve solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, perform benchmarking, and recommend new tools or libraries.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or related field, or a first‑level degree plus two years relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience building web applications with React and .NET Core.
• Proven experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, SQL and REST APIs.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work under the supervision of a team leader.
