Freight Coordinator – Logistics & Customs Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑driven Freight Coordinator to keep shipments moving smoothly across borders. Based in China, you will manage bookings, customs documentation, and warehouse timelines, ensuring every delivery arrives on time and complies with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, book, track and monitor import and export shipments in line with inventory and replenishment plans.
• Schedule freight around stock planning, campaign items, and time‑sensitive inventory.
• Liaise with internal teams and external partners to confirm bookings, delivery schedules, reroutes, or holds, and keep management informed of changes.
• Review and assess shipment documentation such as bills of lading, airway bills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
• Ensure all freight documentation complies with local customs regulations, import/export laws, and internal standards.
• Maintain organized, audit‑ready records for customs, 3PLs, and government authorities.
• Collaborate with inventory planning, warehouse, and fulfillment teams to align shipment timing and schedules.
• Generate weekly and monthly shipment reports and maintain up‑to‑date trackers for delivery status and SLA deviations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics/freight coordination, shipment management, and customs handling.
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English, both written and verbal.
• Currently located in China and able to work on‑site.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
