Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) – Shanghai

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional to join our Asia Pacific finance team in Shanghai. The role will provide hands‑on support for budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and management reporting, working closely with senior management across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop annual budgets and forecasts, prepare guidelines, assumptions and templates.
• Review budget proposals, identify risks and opportunities, monitor performance against budget, investigate variances and support the Finance Director with reporting requirements.
• Coordinate preparation and review of monthly management accounts, ensuring timely delivery in line with group deadlines.
• Analyse financial data, produce budget‑vs‑actual and variance analysis, and present insights to senior stakeholders.
• Monitor key financial metrics such as profitability, liquidity and ratios, and recommend improvements.
• Support the Capex process, including budgeting, commitment tracking and variance analysis.
• Assist with cash‑flow management and undertake ad‑hoc financial analyses as needed.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of FP&A or financial analyst experience with hands‑on budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards and financial statement analysis.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, able to communicate with stakeholders across China and the wider Asia Pacific region.
