Finance Director – Emerging Markets China

About the role

The Finance Director will lead all finance activities for Emerging Markets China, reporting to the Emerging Markets Finance Director. Based in Shanghai, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance, driving performance improvements and supporting the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead finance operations, ensuring compliance with accounting, tax and legal requirements.
• Manage group reporting in line with ASSA ABLOY standards and prepare business plans, budgets and forecasts.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive initiatives to improve company performance.
• Oversee business controlling, monitor KPIs and communicate performance to stakeholders.
• Design and implement an internal control framework and support internal and external audits.
• Supervise finance‑related IT systems and ensure data integrity.
• Lead a team of 4‑5 professionals covering controlling and accounting, primarily located in Shanghai and Changshu.
• Contribute to the management team’s strategy development and promote a culture of empowerment, innovation and integrity.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing a finance function in an international, preferably matrix, environment.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Proven leadership ability with experience in stakeholder engagement and team development.
