Finance Controller – North Asia

About the role

The Finance Controller for North Asia will support the Finance Hub Manager in delivering accurate, reliable and compliant bookkeeping and financial reporting across the region. This role combines financial analysis, budgeting and partnership with local business units to drive performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial performance and support budgeting and target‑setting processes.
• Identify and resolve financial discrepancies and errors.
• Act as Finance Business Partner for local customer management and support.
• Serve as point of contact for Service Owners on data collection, analysis and clarification.
• Contribute to local and global GBS and customer projects.
• Provide backup and support for Hub Manager and Accountant responsibilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or related fields; professional certifications (CPA, CMA, ACCA) preferred.
• 5+ years of regional financial management experience, including financial analysis, budgeting and cross‑functional coordination.
• Familiarity with accounting of overseas entities in Northeast Asia; maritime industry experience a plus.
• Strong analytical ability, high attention to detail and sense of responsibility.
• Excellent English communication; proficiency in Japanese and/or Korean highly preferred.
