Field Sales Manager – Evaporation & Heat Exchanger Solutions

This role drives direct and channel sales of Alfa Laval evaporation and heat‑exchanger systems in the starch‑sweetener, prepared‑food, synthetic‑biology and beverage markets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify business opportunities within target industries and close direct and channel sales of evaporation and heat‑exchanger solutions.
• Promote and sell Alfa Laval evaporation systems following established sales processes and guidelines.
• Analyze market insights and customer buying behaviour to create sales plans aligned with business‑unit strategy.
• Generate and manage leads, converting them into real business opportunities to grow the pipeline.
• Conduct customer visits, meetings and presentations, focusing on needs and product value.
• Maintain the customer grid and plan proactively using OneCRM and other tools.
• Develop profitable quotes, highlight unique selling points and follow up to improve hit‑rate.
• Collaborate with national channels to meet sales targets.

Required profile

• 10+ years of sales or application experience in starch‑sweetener, prepared‑food, synthetic‑biology, beverage industries or evaporation‑system applications.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering, food science, biochemistry, hygienic processing or related field.
• Hunter‑sales mindset with strong business acumen and ability to work independently.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese, with strong interpersonal and cross‑cultural communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OneCRM (or similar CRM tools) for sales planning and decision‑making.
• Experience in large‑project sales, negotiation and quote development.
