Field Sales Engineer – Energy & Inorganic Chemicals

About the role

Alfa Laval is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to drive service and spare‑part sales in the Energy and inorganic chemical sectors across Shanghai. You will act as the primary link between customers, distributors and internal teams, delivering value‑based solutions that support sustainable resource use.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve area service sales targets for Energy industry and inorganic chemical spare‑parts.
• Develop and manage sales channels, including distributors and end‑users.
• Analyse market trends and customer behaviour to create aligned sales plans.
• Generate and qualify leads, maintain a strong pipeline, and conduct regular customer visits.
• Prepare tailored quotations and value propositions highlighting Alfa Laval’s unique selling points.
• Maintain CRM and sales tools for accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
• Collaborate with service teams and internal stakeholders to ensure commercial execution and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of service sales experience, preferably in Energy or inorganic chemical sectors.
• Proven experience managing distributors and high‑integrity relationships.
• Strong business acumen, willingness to learn, and ability to travel up to 60 %.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems and internal sales tools.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical and chemical engineering products.
