About the role

Bosch is looking for a Diagnostic Engineer to develop and execute manufacturing diagnostics tests for vehicle production lines. The role combines on‑site testing, hardware/software deployment and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high‑quality vehicle launches.

Key responsibilities

• Author manufacturing diagnostics tests and sequences executed on vehicle production lines.
• Perform on‑site testing, deployment of diagnostic hardware and software, and report test results.
• Verify and test sequences both in the office and at plant sites, with up to 50% travel.
• Participate in vehicle launch activities and resolve issues on‑site with minimal assistance.
• Create customer documentation, training material and user requirement documents.
• Manage change requests, install runtimes on QA and production servers, and support OS/SQL migrations.
• Set up plant‑specific networks, configure web‑based tools, and run SQL scripts for validation.
• Contribute to QA and production release reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Software Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to plan, manage and execute workload independently.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10 (32/64‑bit).
• Experience with VMware and VirtualBox for test environment creation.
• Understanding of Windows services, TCP/IP and DHCP networking.
• Knowledge of automotive diagnostic protocols (KWP2000, ISO 14230, ISO 15765, J1939, ISO 14229, ISO 13400).
• Proficiency with Wireshark, CAN logs (DoIP and CAN) and electrical schematics.
• SQL Server knowledge and ability to run stored procedures and schema upgrades.
• Familiarity with JIRA for task management.
• Experience with ODX, OTX, XML files, Bosch VSI simulator and VCATS tools.
