Electrical Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will design reliable, cost‑effective and safe electrical solutions that support both project delivery and the organisation’s strategic objectives within the oil & gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Select methods and procedures, perform work and optimise designs in line with international codes (IEC, IEEE) and local regulations.
• Prepare electrical engineering deliverables such as philosophy documents, specifications, datasheets, reports, calculations and technical bid evaluation reports.
• Plan and complete activities and deliverables within agreed timeframes while ensuring proper system interfaces.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and third parties according to contractual and internal requirements.
• Apply lessons learned and assess change impacts across project boundaries.
• Collaborate with lead engineers, designers and cross‑disciplinary teams to meet project performance levels and protect company interests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognised institution.
• 0‑5 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Strong engineering knowledge of electrical systems and familiarity with IEC, IEEE and classification society standards.
• Understanding of integrated database software such as AVEVA E&I (advantageous).

Required skills

• Electrical engineering design and analysis.
• Use of engineering design and calculation tools.
• Experience with AVEVA E&I database software (preferred).
