Director of Human Resources

About the role

The Grand Hyatt Shenzhen is seeking a senior HR leader to drive the strategic direction and daily operations of its Human Resources function. This role will shape talent, culture, and employee experience across the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the HR department, overseeing recruitment, training, performance management, compensation & benefits, and employee relations.
• Develop and implement an HR strategic plan aligned with the hotel’s overall development strategy.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve HR systems, processes, and compliance with labor laws and industry standards.
• Build talent pipelines, create development plans for key positions, and secure high‑quality talent for future growth.
• Manage labor relations, resolve disputes, and foster a harmonious corporate culture.
• Analyze HR data, produce reports, and provide data‑driven insights for management decisions.
• Establish an employee training system to raise professional skills and service standards.
• Plan employee activities that strengthen team cohesion and a sense of belonging.

Required profile

• Strong professional knowledge of HR management and familiarity with labor laws and regulations.
• Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication abilities for cross‑department collaboration.
• Strategic thinking and execution skills to translate HR strategy into actionable plans.
• Deep understanding of the hotel industry and its specific HR practices.
• Data‑analysis capability to support HR decision‑making.
• Resilience and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment.
• Leadership and team‑management expertise to inspire and develop the HR team.
