Director of Finance

About the role

The Director of Finance will lead the financial management of Park Hyatt Hangzhou, ensuring compliance with local regulations and delivering accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Implement local accounting procedures and obtain approvals from area and corporate offices.
• Prepare, supervise, scrutinize and approve monthly journal entries, balance sheets and income statements.
• Prepare and interpret financial statements and reports for the hotel, delivering monthly reporting packages on time.
• Audit hotel accounts, records and transactions, and support the streamlining of internal control procedures.
• Review monthly bank reconciliation statements and investigate unusual variations in financial reports.
• Verify prepaid expenses and deferred charges are up‑to‑date and correctly recorded.
• Administer cash management, including investing in approved time deposits and obtaining banking facilities as needed.
• Understand Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s and local tax obligations, working with appointed auditors or tax experts.
• Assist the General Manager, Division Heads and Department Heads in preparing forecasts, capital expenditure authorisations and the annual business plan.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel finance and accounting, with knowledge of local government regulations.
• Ability to prepare and interpret comprehensive financial statements and reports.
• Experience in cash management, bank reconciliations and internal control auditing.
• Familiarity with tax obligations for hospitality operations and collaboration with auditors or tax experts.
• Capability to support senior management in forecasting, capital expenditure authorisation and business planning.
