Director of Finance

About the role

We are seeking a strategic Director of Finance to lead the financial function of Mandarin Oriental Suzhou, a new luxury urban resort scheduled to open in 2026. Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure robust financial controls, accurate reporting and support the hotel’s profitability and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain financial controls and accounting procedures in line with MOHG policies, GAAP and local regulations.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, budgets, forecasts and variance analyses for senior management.
• Identify and drive process improvements and innovations to optimise financial systems.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and hotel management team to support decision‑making and operational efficiency.
• Analyse profitability, create exception reports and monitor performance against targets.
• Lead, develop and evaluate the finance team to ensure continuity and professional growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior finance roles within the hospitality or luxury hotel sector.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, hotel management contracts and local financial regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality financial reporting and analysis.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
