Director, Emerging Sales

About the role

This is an exciting sales leadership role in Walmart Connect China team, which supports China cross‑border advertisers and sellers on Walmart global marketplaces. You will hire and develop a team of salespeople that will both onboard net‑new advertisers and grow existing partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of salespeople within the WMC China team across a set of Strategic Business Units/Verticals.
• Build, inspire, train and manage a talented, motivated, highly consultative sales and services team.
• Drive the future strategic direction of the business and allocate resources efficiently to achieve profitable results.
• Understand client businesses and develop appropriate solutions to meet their needs.
• Deliver the highest level of customer service and present WMC’s solutions in a compelling, positive, and professional way.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive revenue growth with new and existing customers and act as an escalation point for issues.
• Execute projects involving quantitative analysis, industry research and strategy development.
• Consult with Product Marketing to help shape product development in support of clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in advertising sales, retail, e‑commerce, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience leading teams with a history of consistently exceeding revenue targets.
• Experience selling or executing paid search and/or retail media solutions, solving complex problems at scale, and succeeding in a hyper‑growth environment.
