Digital Architect – Grooming & Beauty Ecosystem

About the role

Philips is looking for a Digital Architect to lead the end‑to‑end digital architecture of its Grooming & Beauty ecosystem. The role will shape cloud, micro‑service and device‑integration strategies for consumer health and personal‑care products, working closely with product, engineering and UX teams across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the digital architecture for the Grooming & Beauty product lines, covering cloud platforms, micro‑services, API management and device integration.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to conceptualize and implement cutting‑edge solutions for personal‑care and health applications.
• Evaluate trade‑offs with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and future features.
• Mitigate technical uncertainties by devising strategies to improve efficiency, resilience and productivity, and participate in risk‑management activities.
• Lead technology evaluations and pilot projects, including BLE and IoT connectivity for grooming and beauty products.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory frameworks, data privacy and security best practices.
• Mentor engineering teams on architectural principles, mobile and web design, and technology implementation.
• Support performance optimisation, reliability and continuous improvement of ecosystem components.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in software architecture, especially for app ecosystems or digital platforms, with hands‑on coding experience.
• Proven ability to deliver scalable, secure and user‑centric digital solutions across product lines.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills within agile, cross‑functional teams.
