Design Engineer – Mechanical Systems

About the role

BEUMER Group is seeking a Design Engineer to develop and improve high‑tech intralogistic systems for airport and logistics applications. You will create technical solutions, generate detailed drawings, and ensure product designs are cost‑effective, manufacturable, and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Design new products and processes, and enhance existing ones.
• Perform design analysis on components and assemblies to verify cost efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings for parts, structural components, and assemblies.
• Apply and modify existing functional elements to meet design specifications.
• Conduct graphical studies of dimensions and tolerances, considering manufacturing constraints, assembly/disassembly, and space availability.
• Review construction documents, assess feasibility, and propose constructive changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in airport or logistics system design.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Proven problem‑solving ability and structured thinking.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D design software: Solid Edge, SolidWorks, UG (Siemens NX), AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of equipment structure design such as link mechanisms, gear motion, belt‑wheel systems, shaft/bearing arrangements, and chain‑wheel structures.
• Ability to create and interpret technical drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
