Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join our automotive software team. You will be responsible for shaping security requirements, developing robust solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze OEM requirements and maintain traceability across all levels.
• Derive and adapt cyber‑security requirements at concept and system levels, ensuring alignment with security analyses.
• Design, develop, and optimise security solutions in line with company policies, recommendations and standards.
• Define test processes and evaluate tools for software security testing, including requirements‑based and fuzz testing.
• Execute testing activities, interpret results and benchmark them against common norms and standards.
• Support and document software validation according to Automotive SPICE and ZF product development processes.
• Collaborate with project management and development teams on both local and global scales.
• Provide security expertise for development, manufacturing, warranty analysis and related areas.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development or testing for vehicle‑embedded electronic projects.
• Hands‑on experience with measurement tools such as INCA and CANoe.
• Knowledge of application, calibration and diagnostic systems; driving licence required.
• Experience with 16‑ or 32‑bit micro‑controllers and C/C++ programming.
• Background in AUTOSAR modules and basic software (BSW) components.
• Familiarity with automotive cyber‑security concepts (Secure Boot, Secure Diagnostics, Secure Flash, SecOC).
• Practical work on security components such as SecOC, FBL, CSM and HSM.
• Understanding of ISO/SAE DIS 21434 and UNECE R155 standards.
• Proven test‑methodology skills for software security testing.
• Ability to resolve complex issues within interdisciplinary teams.
