Customer Engineer I Senior

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Customer Engineer I Senior to join its field service team in Shanghai. You will work closely with senior field service engineers to install, maintain, and upgrade advanced semiconductor equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior field service engineers on equipment installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Communicate directly with customers and coordinate service activities.

Required profile

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.
