Customer Engineer – CMP Equipment

About the role

The Customer Engineer (CMP) works directly with customers to install, maintain, and upgrade semiconductor equipment. You will use digital analytics and basic diagnostics to troubleshoot and ensure optimal performance of complex systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and customers to understand process roadmaps and business challenges.
• Train and mentor junior field service engineers.
• Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• 4‑7 years of experience in the semiconductor or equipment support industry.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.
• Willingness to meet on‑site safety, environmental, and COVID‑19 protocols.

Required skills

• Mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, and thermodynamics.
• Proficiency with hand tools and digital multimeters.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
