Construction Structural Superintendent

About the role

SBM Offshore is seeking a Construction Structural Superintendent to lead the structural discipline on offshore projects. You will coordinate construction and commissioning activities, ensuring they meet HSSE, quality, and schedule requirements while supporting the company’s transition to lower‑carbon energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction and commissioning operations for the structural discipline, including workforce, material handling, and equipment usage.
• Monitor progress against the project timeline and implement corrective actions to keep the schedule on track.
• Enforce HSSE protocols and ensure all activities comply with company regulations and standards.
• Lead site inspections, tests, and verifications related to structural work.
• Manage changes to the discipline’s plan or scope throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, HSSE documentation, and quality control data.
• Mentor and manage construction supervisors and team members to uphold high performance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in the construction industry with a strong understanding of construction and commissioning processes for structural hull and topsides.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on offshore construction sites.

Required skills

• Knowledge of structural hull and topsides engineering.
• Experience with inspection, testing, commissioning, and monitoring of offshore structures.
• Ability to implement and enforce HSSE and quality management procedures.
