Construction Manager – Lead Fabrication & Team Operations

About the role

The Construction Manager will lead and coordinate all fabrication activities at the project yard, acting as the primary liaison between NOV project management, subcontractors, and the internal site team. This role ensures that production processes, resources, and budgets are optimized to meet both short‑term and long‑term project objectives while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage team activities, including training, performance evaluations, hiring decisions, and goal setting for the assigned department.
• Continuously evaluate and improve departmental processes, resource utilization, and equipment deployment.
• Allocate manufacturing resources to align with production plans, recommending capital equipment and workforce development as needed.
• Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenditures, and drive cost‑saving initiatives to improve gross profit margins.
• Develop the production organization to support long‑term business goals and individual employee growth.
• Collaborate with Safety and Quality Assurance teams to implement programs that reduce accidents and improve product quality.
• Represent NOV project management during fabrication, serving as the main point of contact for all yard activities.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, budget compliance, schedule adherence, and delivery of high‑quality work.
• Verify fabricated quantities against IFC drawings and Material Take‑Offs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading and developing production or construction teams.
• Strong background in budgeting, cost control, and financial alignment with project goals.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize processes, resources, and equipment for efficient operations.
• Experience working closely with safety and quality assurance functions.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, including subcontractors and internal site teams.
