CNC Operator I

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a CNC Operator I to run and maintain CNC machines in a safe and efficient manner at its Suzhou facility. The role focuses on producing high‑quality components while ensuring equipment longevity and compliance with manufacturing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Start up and operate CNC machines safely, following manufacturing specifications to achieve required quality standards.
• Modify machine settings under the guidance of setters or engineers to accommodate tool changes, material variations, or equipment renewal.
• Operate ancillary equipment such as bar feeders and internal probes according to technical specifications.
• Download and upload CNC programs between the machine and external PCs or control systems.
• Change over jigs and fixtures, storing them properly to prevent damage or misuse.
• Record job transactions and monitor work‑in‑process accurately.
• Report any quality issues to the cell leader and comply with good manufacturing practice for full traceability.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed manufacturing and quality specifications consistently.
• Willingness to perform additional tasks assigned by the cell leader.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating CNC machines.
• Experience with loading and unloading CNC programs.
• Knowledge of bar feeder and probe operation.
• Understanding of jig and fixture change‑over procedures.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and material traceability.
