China Marketing & Communications Director

About the role

NXP is looking for a Director of Marketing & Communications based in Shanghai, China, to help shape its Trusted Physical AI strategy in the region. This is not a traditional regional MarCom role: the person is expected to challenge established thinking, turn ideas into action and activate an ecosystem of developers. The role reports to the Global VP of Marketing & Communications in Hamburg and leads the China team while working closely with Greater China business and sales leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Shape the China narrative for Trusted Physical AI, turning NXP's technology and expertise into a differentiated story.
• Win developers' hearts and minds by creating new ways for them to discover, experience and build with NXP.
• Activate the Physical AI ecosystem by connecting customers, developers, universities, start-ups, partners, distributors, influencers and other communities.
• Bring China market insights, emerging technologies, platforms and behaviours into NXP to influence global thinking and action.
• Experiment with new channels, partnerships, content and experiences, then scale what works.
• Build a modern Marketing & Communications organization, leading and developing the China team.
• Partner with Greater China business and sales leadership to drive measurable business impact.

Required profile

• Significant leadership experience in technology marketing, communications, digital, ecosystems, brand or a related field.
• A track record of changing and building, not just managing.
• Strong knowledge of China's technology, digital and innovation landscape.
• Experience engaging senior executives as well as external communities such as customers, developers, partners, media and influencers.
• Excellent English communication skills.
