Catering Manager

About the role

The Catering Manager will lead the planning and execution of group and private events at Four Seasons Guangzhou, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Plan all details of group and private events while overseeing client relationships.
• Assist the Conference Services Department, especially during large group movements.
• Mentor and develop administrative staff for future career growth.
• Handle guest inquiries across Sales, Marketing, and Conference Services, including high telephone volume and walk‑in site inspections.
• Execute tasks or projects assigned by hotel management.
• Provide input on marketing plans and budgets.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the resort’s facilities and competitive set.
• Represent the hotel in the community through industry association involvement.
• Develop and execute projects in assigned market areas to increase catering activity, volume, and profit.

Required profile

• Proven experience in catering, event planning, or hospitality operations.
• Ability to mentor and develop administrative staff.
• Strong client‑relationship management skills.
• Familiarity with conference services and large‑group event logistics.
• Understanding of marketing, budgeting, and community engagement.
