Associate/Full Professor – Applied Mathematics & Statistics

About the role

The University of Nottingham Ningbo China seeks an ambitious academic to join its School of Mathematical Sciences as an Associate or Full Professor in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. You will contribute to teaching, curriculum development, and lead collaborative research projects while maintaining an active publication record.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and develop undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Applied Mathematics and Statistics.
• Design and update curricula to meet international standards.
• Supervise PhD and Master students, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Lead and participate in collaborative research projects.
• Secure external research funding and publish original research in reputable journals.

Required profile

• PhD in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field (or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
• Proven experience supervising PhD and Master students.
• Successful track record of obtaining external research funding.
• Strong commitment to teaching excellence and research innovation.
