Associate Director, Global Investigations

About the role

This position reports directly to the Managing Counsel and Executive Director of China Investigations within the Office of General Counsel. The Associate Director, Global Investigations Counsel acts as a confidential and impartial source to conduct internal Code of Conduct investigations and supports high‑risk investigations across China.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex internal investigations, including high‑risk cases, while ensuring confidentiality and impartiality.
• Provide legal counsel on lower‑level risk matters and advise business units on compliance with the US FCPA and Chinese anti‑corruption statutes.
• Analyze investigation data, draw reasonable conclusions, and prepare clear, well‑structured reports for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with Legal & Compliance, Global Security, HR, and Finance, leveraging networking and influencing skills to drive investigative outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law; JD, LLM or a Master’s in Criminal Justice, Forensic Accounting or related field preferred.
• PRC qualified lawyer; US bar admission preferred.
• Strong understanding of complex regulations and ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience interacting with executive‑level stakeholders and demonstrating sound judgment and leadership.
