Assistant Training Manager – Retail (Shanghai)

About the role

The Assistant Training Manager for Fragrance & Beauty will own regional training solutions in Shanghai, working closely with retail leaders and cross‑functional partners to translate business needs into scalable learning programmes. The role combines strong business insight with a focus on elevating client experience and frontline capability across the retail network.

Key responsibilities

• Design, enhance and continuously optimise regional retail training programmes covering product knowledge, client experience, selling and operational skills.
• Partner with retail stakeholders and expert teams to localise training content in line with business priorities and regional requirements.
• Analyse POS performance data, CSS insights and other metrics to diagnose capability gaps and prioritise training focus.
• Own end‑to‑end planning, customisation, quality tracking and governance of key training initiatives, ensuring consistency across regions.
• Monitor learning impact, adjust solutions based on feedback and outcomes, and drive continuous improvement of coaching quality at the point of sale.
• Communicate training insights and recommendations to Retail Leaders, HR, Digital Learning and HQ partners, influencing cross‑functional alignment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in retail training, learning & development or people capability, preferably in luxury, beauty, retail or FMCG.
• Strong understanding of retail operations and frontline capability needs.
• Sensitivity to luxury branding and retail operational standards.
