Area Security Manager - Shanghai

About the role

The Area Security Manager will lead the security function for all JM sites in Shanghai, ensuring the protection of people, assets and information in line with Group security standards and local regulations. Reporting to the Regional Security Manager – APAC, the role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on implementation across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and promote JM security culture and strategy across the Shanghai region.
• Manage technical and physical security contracts, monitoring KPIs, SLAs and performance metrics.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with site leadership, local law enforcement and other key stakeholders.
• Identify regional security risks, design mitigation programmes and support audit activities.
• Lead security investigations, incident response and reporting to the Global Security Team.
• Support change programmes, projects and business expansion initiatives in Shanghai.

Required profile

• Proven experience in security management within a complex, regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese security regulations and national risk landscape.
• Demonstrated ability to manage third‑party security providers and contractual relationships.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive continuous improvement.
