Area Construction Manager – Lead Construction Activities

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Area Construction Manager to lead construction activities across a defined scope such as topsides, vessels, integration or brownfield projects. The role ensures delivery in line with health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) standards, quality expectations, schedule commitments and budget constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all construction activities within the assigned area, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
• Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement and project management teams to maintain seamless integration of work streams.
• Develop, maintain and monitor detailed project schedules, taking corrective actions when progress deviates from plan.
• Lead a team of construction professionals and subcontractors, fostering a strong safety culture and collaborative environment.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE policies, quality standards and contractual requirements throughout the construction phase.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale construction programmes in the energy, natural resources or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of HSSE, quality management and cost control principles.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive performance against schedule and budget.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
