A&R Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting & Reporting (A&R) Accountant to join our Shanghai team. Reporting to the Senior A&R Accountant, you will be responsible for the daily accounting of our Indonesia entity, ensuring compliance with local and IFRS standards and handling multi‑currency transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting tasks, including voucher preparation and transaction recording.
• Classify and account for business operations in line with local GAAP and IFRS.
• Process foreign‑currency transactions, perform conversions and exchange‑rate adjustments.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash‑flow forecast).
• Support budget data preparation, monitor departmental performance and report anomalies.
• Coordinate with financial teams of multinational subsidiaries to ensure data consistency and compliance.
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual and special audits, providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Working towards a professional accounting qualification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting standards and IFRS.
• Ability to communicate technical and non‑technical information clearly.
• Fluent English (stakeholders based in Indonesia).

Required skills

• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Experience with foreign‑currency accounting and exchange‑rate adjustments.
• Familiarity with preparing financial statements and budgets.
