Application Engineer (EM)

About the role

Join Bosch Group in Changsha as an Application Engineer (EM) where you will translate customer requirements into robust technical solutions for motor and component projects. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to design, validate, and optimise mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate customer requirements and define technical solutions for SD&SCA projects.
• Create and review 3D and 2D drawings for motors and components.
• Develop verification and validation plans and execute them in the test laboratory.
• Support cost‑reduction initiatives for components and manufacturing processes.
• Perform technical problem solving and test failure analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of design/engineering experience; motor experience is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical transmission and gear systems.
• Familiarity with common plastics and typical metal materials.
• Understanding of GD&T principles.

Required skills

• Mechanical design and engineering.
• 3D CAD modeling and 2D drafting.
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledge of mechanical transmission and gear mechanisms.
• Experience with plastic and metal material selection.
