Aircraft Deconstruction Technician (Part‑66 TA licence required)

About the role

Airbus Chengdu is seeking an experienced Aircraft Deconstruction Technician to lead the dismantling, greening and cutting phases of end‑of‑life aircraft. The role involves stripping aircraft interiors to the green shell, sorting waste for recovery, and cutting the airframe into recyclable components while ensuring strict safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Remove components in accordance with Airworthiness Documents.
• Schedule and oversee routine cutting and greening work orders.
• Implement and adhere to strict safety guidelines.
• Execute greening and cutting tasks following internal procedures and CAAC circular AC‑145‑FS‑2019‑017.
• Strip cockpit, cabin and cargo holds down to the green shell.
• Sort waste materials (cables, foam, cabin items) at source to maximise recovery.
• Cut the airframe into small parts for treatment, transport and recycling.
• Report progress to the dismantling leader and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• College degree in an aviation‑related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the aviation domain.
• Civil Aviation Maintenance Personnel Basic License.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Thorough understanding of aircraft parts, systems and mechanical practices.

Required skills

• Part‑66 TA licence issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (mandatory).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite for record‑keeping.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals and safety procedures.
• Detail‑oriented mechanical aptitude and ability to work under pressure.
