Account Manager – Sales (Automotive, China)

About the role

The Account Manager – Sales will lead Linamar’s automotive engine and transmission sales activities in China. You will be responsible for acquiring new projects, maintaining existing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth for the passenger‑vehicle business.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities to meet yearly sales targets.
• Establish and nurture contacts with OEMs, Tier‑1 suppliers, and their engineering, purchasing, and quality teams.
• Manage the full quotation process, including RFQ review, quote preparation, and commercial negotiations.
• Handle customer‑related issues such as overdue AR, price adjustments, contract reviews, and cost tracking.
• Collect market and competitor information to develop account strategies for management decisions.
• Collaborate with Linamar’s global sales team to ensure a coordinated approach across regions.
• Support the Sales VP in achieving regional group goals.
• Coordinate with Materials Control, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, and POC teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Management or a related field.
• Approximately five years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably with engine or transmission exposure.
• Strong market knowledge of China’s automotive sector and an entrepreneurial, analytical mindset.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
