Account Manager, Global Key Accounts, Food Ingredients

About the role

Join IFF’s Food Ingredients business as an Account Manager responsible for global key accounts in China. You will work in a hybrid setting from Beijing or Shanghai, driving revenue, profitability and long‑term growth for leading food and beverage manufacturers.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with global key accounts, ensuring revenue targets, profitability and forecast accuracy.
• Coordinate sales activities for assigned accounts and develop short‑term and long‑term account plans.
• Identify, develop and evaluate new business opportunities at existing and new accounts, converting them into sales.
• Monitor industry trends, market potentials and competitive movements, feeding insights back to the team.
• Implement business processes and sales tools for forecasting, pricing, opportunity tracking and call reporting on a monthly basis.
• Collaborate with peers and management to achieve personal and company sales targets while fostering a team‑based culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of sales, account or business management experience in an international B2B food industry.
• Proven experience managing global key accounts in China.
• Strong analytical ability, excellent presentation skills and rapid assimilation of commercial and technical information.
• Fluent oral and written English communication.
