Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

The Supplier Quality Engineer will ensure that tooling mechanical parts meet Bosch’s quality standards throughout development and release. The role combines preventive quality planning, supplier compliance monitoring and cross‑functional support for automotive projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive quality and release activities for tooling mechanical parts.
• Verify compliance with Bosch quality requirements at suppliers and sub‑suppliers during product development and release.
• Define corrective measures for any deviations and ensure timely qualification of projects and commodities.
• Provide professional support to resolve technical quality issues across allocated commodities.
• Report project status and, for critical projects, define actions in alignment with PMQ Project Coordinators.
• Implement lessons‑learned activities and coordinate improvements with other Bosch locations.
• Generate and present quality data in global quality or escalation meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of automotive‑related experience.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in teams.
• Commitment to high performance and product quality.

Required skills

• Problem‑solving methodologies and automotive quality tools such as 8D, PQP/APQP and FMEA.
• Mechanical design engineering knowledge.
• Experience with production processes like insert molding and die‑casting.
