Senior Software Architect

About the role

The Software Architect is responsible for defining and implementing solutions that host current and upcoming features within release trains, ensuring compliance with non‑functional requirements and guiding architectural decisions. The role works at the product level with a 6‑12 month planning horizon, aligning technical strategy with business goals and mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Assist scrum teams in designing and implementing solutions that meet release‑train requirements and non‑functional criteria.
• Create and realize architectures for products, solutions, services, and software, occasionally contributing code.
• Collaborate with product management, R&D leaders, and DevOps to align on design decisions.
• Lead innovation initiatives and technical negotiations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Apply the Idea‑to‑Market (I2M) architecture framework and ensure seamless integration with Application Development and Product Data Lifecycle Management suites.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent (or a Doctorate with at least 6 years of experience).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, design, and architecture, preferably in regulated healthcare environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C#, C++ and Java.
• Experience with WPF and WCF.
• Strong knowledge of object‑oriented design, design patterns, and software architecture.
• Familiarity with debugging and performance tools such as WinDbg and dotMemory.
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and software quality practices.
